One-on-one AI and tech coaching for people 50+ · Kelowna, in person and online

Ask Art.

I teach AI and technology to people 50+, one-on-one. Use it to run your business, start something new, or finally get to that personal project.

Have a project in mind? Bring it. No idea where to start? We can start there.

You know your stuff. AI is the foggy part.

You've run a business, held a serious job, raised a family, maybe all three. You use email, your phone and your computer every day. AI is harder to pin down: what it's actually useful for, what's exaggerated, and where it fits in your life or your work.

AI only works as well as what you bring to it. On its own, it guesses, and it can sound confident while getting things wrong. Your experience is how you catch that. With someone who knows the subject at the wheel, it becomes a fast assistant that drafts, sorts and researches while you make the calls.

That's your advantage. Plenty of people know the apps. You know the work. Learn the tools, and you can build something new with what you already know.

Bring your own list. That's usually the best place to start.

What happens in the first hour

First half

We make sense of AI. What it's good at, what it gets wrong, and what's just rumour. Ask anything.

Second half

We try it on something real, from your work or your life. An email, your files, a business idea, a family project.

After

A written recap within a day, with the steps to do it again on your own.

No list? That's most people.

If you're thinking, "I don't even know what I'd use it for," that's fine. In the first session, I'll ask about your week, what eats your time and what you've always wanted to try. Then I'll show you what's possible with your own stuff.

Why I'm doing this

Art Szabo

I'm Art Szabo. I've worked in design and technology for over 20 years, with musicians and companies of every size. I live in Kelowna.

In 2022, OpenAI invited me into its early DALL-E artist program, months before ChatGPT came out.

Three years ago, my heart stopped. Three times, at home. I was brought back.

After that, I wanted more of my time going to things that matter. Teaching people to use this technology, one-on-one, turned out to be one of them.

Most people I know in their 50s and 60s have a lot of years ahead and something they still want to do. The tools for doing it have changed. That's the part I can help with.

Art

How I work.

I'll tell you straight what AI is good at, where it falls down, and when the honest answer is that you don't need it at all. Nothing to sell you on.

You keep your passwords. I never ask for them, and I never log into your accounts. You do the clicking and I explain, so when we're done, you can do it again without me.

After every session, you get a written recap: what we covered and the steps to repeat it. And if you'd rather have something built for you, you'll have to ask. I won't pitch it.

Questions people ask

I don't really know what I'd use AI for. Is this still for me?

Yes. That's where a lot of people start. We figure it out together in the first session.

I'm not very technical. Is that a problem?

No. If you can join a video call, we can start. Every starting level is welcome, including "help me with my email."

Why people 50+?

Because that's where I am. Plenty of people in their 50s, 60s and 70s are running a business, starting one or taking on a personal project, and nobody has shown them AI on their own work. What you want to use it for is up to you.

Is this a course?

No. Every session is built around what you're working on.

Do I need to buy any software?

No. We start with what you have, and I'll tell you honestly if something is worth paying for.

Will you need my passwords?

No. You stay in control of your accounts the whole time.

Do I have to live in Kelowna?

No. I'm based in Kelowna and meet people in person around town. Everywhere else, sessions are online.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. I'll come to your office or home in Kelowna, West Kelowna or Lake Country. In person adds $15 to any session. Farther out, ask and I'll quote it.

How do I pay?

By card, through Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically until you cancel.

Can you just build it for me?

Yes, if you'd rather hand something off, like a website or a brand refresh. I do that through my agency, Art Szabo Creative. Coaching never turns into a sales pitch.

Ask away.

What would you like to book?

What happens next: I'll reply within one business day to set a time. For a session or plan, I'll email you a secure payment link.

I'll only use this to get back to you. No mailing list, and I never share it.
